Erica's visit was too short and I know it was difficult for her to say goodbye to Phil. The night before she left, we went on a dinner cruise on the St. Croix River in Stillwater, MN, about an hour from Prior Lake. It was smooth sailing with delicious St. Louis style ribs, grilled lemon chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, pasta salad, rolls, and gourmet cookies. There was also a full bar. It was a lovely two hour cruise with Wisconsin on one side of the river and Minnesota on the other. According to Phil's phone, we were in Wisconsin waterways quite a bit!
On Wednesday, August 6, we had our new 15,000 BUT air conditioner installed! Don't you know, when we turned off the old one it stopped without all the moaning and groaning it did the last time we turned it off, which was almost a week ago! We didn't want to turn it off or to automatic because we weren't sure it would start up again! Regardless, we were going to replace the 13,000 BTU in the future but the future came sooner than expected! It is quite nice having a much quieter air conditioner that cools very quickly!
Yesterday Thom and Phil went to the gun range to shoot his new toy, an AR-15. Thom said it was a really smooth rifle to shoot, surprisingly.
As the guys were having fun at the range, I did the usual, getting the motor home cleaned! It needed it, as we prepare for our departure on Monday, August 10th. I can't believe we will be leaving here because it seems like just yesterday that we arrived.
Today Phil returned to work after taking a few days off. It has been a joy being here, especially with all of us together; we don't know when that will happen again. Thom and I will return in the winter and again next summer. We have decided to cancel our trip to Canada and rather continue to explore the beautiful states of America! Canada can wait!
Our boat is the one with the long walkway to it.

My wonderful adult children - Erica and Philip!

The Coste Family!
This afternoon, weather permitting and after Phil gets off of work, Thom and Phil will head to the golf course for a quick 9 hole round. Tomorrow we will head to Walnut Grove to visit friends we met in Florida last year who live in St. Cloud, MN. We also saw them (Laurel and Ron) at the GNR. Sunday we will prepare the RV to travel and say our goodbyes. I want the next few days to go as slowly as possible!
Until next blog ...
